Originally a ranch that was turned into a planned community, Chandler has evolved gradually since its inception in 1912. It is probably best known for being the site of an Intel computer chip factory spread across four sites around town. The city is also known for its annual Ostrich Festival.
Chandler is a calm relaxed areas that borders Phoenix. With around 240,000 permanent residents, it has enough going on to seem lively but is laid back enough to have that small town feel.

Flying into Chandler will see you at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) in East Phoenix. It services most domestic flights and some international carriers. Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) handles a couple of domestic carriers but is currently being expanded to carry more traffic.
There is no commuter rail link directly into Chandler although it is served by freight lines run by Union Pacific Railroad.
There are no bus services into the city either but a limited commuter bus service around town.
Your main mode of transport is going to be the car. The Loop 202 cuts through the center of the city while Loop 101, Price Freeway, goes west of the city. I-10 takes you into Phoenix from the west of town.
Chandler is a small city with friendly residents, relatively good employment and decent prospects. This lends itself well to positivity and it shows. It’s a nice city to work and hang out in.
