Jersey Village, or JV to the locals is a neighborhood in Houston. It was mainly arable land for dairy farmers until the 1950s when it was settled along Jersey Drive. What began with a few residents grew steadily with the arrival of a school, park, golf course and volunteer police force. Now, it is home to around 8,000 people.
